Organisation of The Polish CP Programme

Polish Cleaner Production Programme has been started in 1990 within CP World Programme of UNEP- Industry and Environment Division.

For over 6 years the Polish CP Programme was sponsored by the Norwegian Government as a co-operation project of Polish and Norwegian Engineering Societies (NIF-NOT).

Today the Polish Cleaner Production Programme is the country-wide movement, consisting of a network of CP Companies, local authorities and CP Experts.

The Polish CP Movement has been working for many years as a Club within the Federation of Engineering Societies – a NGO organisation, associating engineers of various branches of Industry.

To secure continuity and involvement of all participants of the CP Programme, we have decided to restructure our activity and become one of the Federation’s Society members. Since May 1999 the Polish CP Movement has reorganised into a registered society (association). The “The Polish CP Movement” Society has taken over all the activities of the CP Club. Its activity is co-ordinated as before by the Polish CP Centre. We have also decided to use the new Polish regional administration structure based upon 16 voivodeships as the basis for our new regional CP structures and have started activities in 12 Regional CP Centres.

As before, all our CP companies are gathered in the Council of CP Companies and the local authorities are working within the Council of Regional Authorities. The structure of the society is presented below.
